McCrae is approximately a 1 hour 25 minute drive (90 kilometres) south of Melbourne and is located between Dromana and Rosebud. The white sandy beaches along the length of the foreshore are so beautiful and shallow swimming is safe to do between the headland of Anthony’s Nose to Rosebud. If you’re into Paddle Boarding, this is a perfect spot for that. The picturesque white sandy beach is a pleasant place for a stroll even on a winters day.
This coastal strip also forms part of the 28km Bay Trail for walkers and cyclists that runs along the Port Phillip coastline from Safety Beach to Portsea.
